I recorded several (26) tracks on a cd-r (fujifilm cd-r pro) with my
Tascam cdrw 5000.
All was ok: I stopped the cd at track 8 , 19 and 22 and I listened
some numbers.
Than I recorded again and stopped at the last track (26).
But when tried to record again, the cd seemd empty.
The surface is burnt, but also my plextor cd burner shows the cd as
empty. Is there any way to recover the lost traks?

If you closed the session, but not the disk, you would create a new session
when you began recording again. That session, not the disk, would be
empty.

the low tech way to get the audio off, is to make another CD with one
long track and close it to create a valid table of contents....then put
that CD into a player and let it read the TOC...then "manually" open
the door and change CDs to the defective on "without the player
knowing" that the CD was changed...you might then be able to play your
defective CD using the TOC of the other CD...of course the tracks will
be messed up but you may be able to recover the audio.... there are
probably programs that let you do this in a more elegant fashion...
