Hey Bruce,
I just missed getting your pre. I'm pissed someone beat me. What the
heck is it doing in Surrey. I could have driven over to pick it up.

These discontinued gems continue to gather momentum as classic.
collectibles, and have become fashionable to upgrade through aftermarket

this product (along with its sister compressor) may represent one of the
only things that Peavey got really right! Naturally, they discontinue it...
It is a serious, high end 2 channel unit, modeled loosely after the Danish
Tubetech. It is a high voltage genuine tube circuit, quite the opposite of
those odd little "starved plate" designs that generally sound so bad in
comparison, but market as "tube preamps". They have been compared favourably
to high end nameplates like Tubetech, but probably suffered in sales because
engineers and studio owners just couldn't get their heads around "Peavey".
Too bad, and their loss, because history will be kind to this product, in
the form of ever-increasing value.
In any event, we are loathe to part with this, but we have a NY trip coming
up, and need the money. It became expendable, but not without much wailing
and nashing of teeth! Help send a band to camp (www.glendarae.com), and buy
our VMP2!
