Recording a singing guitar duo? (Yikes)

Is there a way to record a singing guitar duo (which plays standing)
with any kind of separation?

It would be preferable to keep the vocal and the guitar tracks apart
for separate post processing, but to what extent can this be achieved
in a normal (not studio) room environment?
