Nate,
I think that the recording sounds great (or as well as a compressed one can)
and in fact I have been considering the Schopes for the same reason. Just a
quick question. Why did you choose the supercardioid vs. the cardioid vs.
the omni?
Thanks for any insight,
John Phillips
If I may. The hypercardioid CMC641 is great at not hearing ugly ambiences.
The cardioid CMC64 works well if you have a vary well tuned room, but few do.
I've been using the CMC641 for about 5 years or so on almost everything
including vocals. On classical guitar it's particularly nice in not making
the first and second strings sound plasticky.

Hi
Which Scoeps capsule would any of you suggest for recording a madrigal
choir/small orchestra in a long, narrow church, with good but not great
acoustics? Probably will use an ORTF setup. I have recorded there before
useing Neumann KM184's & they worked very well.
I may get a pair this year, but I'd like to know what capsule I should start
with.
Thanks
