I need to try a full-range speaker cone in a 2-way active speaker cabinet.
I'm trying to convert it into an active guitar amp with no separate tweeter.
If I simply eliminate the tweeter and hook up the fullrange cone, I suppose
it will only reproduce low frequencies due to the internal crossover?
Now what is the simplest way to get the full range into one speaker? Can I
just join the speaker wires that were going to the tweeter to the bass side?
Will it burn the xover?
I can't bypass the xover since it's all built into one board and to me it's
just a bunch of electronics, don't know which component is which.
You don't need any of the electronics. You just run the input directly
to the speaker terminals. If it's a full-range driver, you don't need
any crossover at all.
