The same place people with higher grade older consumer gear are. They either
learn to fix it or join the disposable society.

What's worse is that there are very few kids learning equipment maintenance
today. This is worse than it seems, since this was usually the route into
engineering and equipment design. In a disposable society, we will
not only not have people to fix old equipment but we don't have people to
design new equipment either.
