Willie,

I want to make the dimensions of the room bigger and was trying to
avoid having a pole in the room, disrupting the symmetry of the room. I
am already going to have to add a soffit to one side to make it
symetrical to the other side that is hiding the beam in the basement
that the pole is holding up. And I didn't want to make a dummy pole on
the other side to accomplish the same thing.
