And looking at the manual, I see that you adjust it so that the Clip
light flashes. That probably actually works for copying commercial CDs,
but I wouldn't like to rely on it for live recording. Maybe that's why
it's got no mic preamps.
Apparently it will record direct to a USB hard drive, though, which is
pretty cool. If the TASCAM portable flash memory recorder could do
that, I'd be more seriously interested in it.
