The situation is this: My sweetheart got me a small iPod for Christmas.
Reading the fine print, we discover that it uses iTunes software which won't
run on anything older than Win2k. So we're looking for an equivalent. My
computer will talk to things via USB (1), and I could add a Firewire card if
needed, but this pod is limited to its own software.

Looks like you can just drop MP3 files in the "hidden"
directory (assuming successful USB "mass storage device"
connectivity)
