Re: Logic Audio

Hi Ric,

As long as you can playback the MIDI files from within Logic and hear the
results from your sound card, there is no need to use BIAB. Just setup a
loopback from the audio output to the audio input of your soundcard and
record. Mute all tracks except the MIDI and make sure any input monitoring
is turned off (or you will create a feedback loop). Arm a new track to
record and go. Depending on your sound card and its mixer, you may be able
to do the loopback without any external cables. It is better to do this
from within Logic because you will not have to deal with aligning wav files
created from an external app like BIAB (there may also be subtle MIDI
timing problems introduced as well). The resulting wav file should be
aligned and in place in your project and ready for mixing. As a side note,
once converted from MIDI to a wav, you can add additional effects (e.g EQ or
compression) since it is now an audio file.
