Re: Tweeter failure

Easy Phil.....I noticed the dead tweeter instantly. And the room has large furniture with lots of fabric, large Persian rugs and lots of angles. The sound is awesome. The Sumiko folks want to demonstrate in it. Lots of compliments.

Is there any way to post a picture here?

The living room is 20' by 30' and is open to the rest of the house.

IOW big.

Brick, wood and tile. It is a great sounding room. The speakers are placed about 5 feet from a glass wall and sound excellent.

You like things bright, I take it.

** B R I G H T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The OP has just described the WORST imaginable listening room for hi-fi.

All bare, hard, extremely reflective surfaces - including of all things a GLASS WALL !!!!!

There will be so much room echo he will have ZERO stereo effect and music will continue to be heard for seconds after the speakers have stopped making it.

Bet he never noticed the dead tweeter for weeks.

Might as well set up his wanky speakers in the damn bathroom.
