I've been getting more and more of this kind of work lately, basically
just LPs and cassettes. I have an enormous job coming up digitizing a
lot of cassettes and I came up with what I thought was a nifty idea -
set up 4 tape decks simultaneously and dub 4 tapes to 4 stereo tracks
of a DAW all at once. Otherwise, it's hard to see how anyone could
afford a meaningful price for this kind of work. It's all spoken word
stuff, so I'm not going to sweat bullets about squeezing out every iota
of audio quality as much as I would with music.
