I'm sure they do, and having been burglarized several times I sympathize.
But I imagine they're insured, so they're out the deductible plus whatever
they spent on software services and new security. And the losses and extra
expenses will be tax-deductible. So the burglary probably won't be a
financial catastrophe for them, but it's certainly a psychological blow.
As for the loss of proprietary info in the computers -- well, maybe, but I'd
guess that wasn't the goal of the burglars. Let's face it, there's not that
much innovative design in the Platinum series; the real meat of the designs
is the Neve-derived stuff. And you can find Neve schematics on the web
easily enough. Which aren't much use without a source for the transformers.
No, I think this was a simple cargo haul, and let's hope the perps get
busted quickly.
