Albert, Thanks! 175+ replies that weaved all over the place and in the
end
yours is, alas, one of the several that simply addressed my issues with
a straightforward useful reply!
It's remarkable how much vitriolic rhetoric a simple request and
inquiry
otherwise seems to invoke in these forums. Much appreciated.. And if
i missed one of the other few constructive contributors, in-betweenst
the tangential off-topic responses, thanks to those of you as well.
I can honestly say that after reviewing several of the suggestions
fairly
and objectively, nothing yet has bowled me over with the simplicity of
what
i asked for in the first place. That being, in essence, an 8-track
version of
Peak 2.63.
The ravings of all the cockpit-technologists who seem to love extremist
learning curves and complexity on path to Creativity either missed my
point and/or will likely never 'get' it. Then again, we live in a
nation that believes
George Bush is a great leader. No wonder the notion of simplicity i
speak
of is so difficult for so many to wrap their heads around. This slavish
devotion to Pro Tools and its ilk for simple straightforward broadcast
work,
as you suggest you appreciate your suggested application for - mirrors
the sort of default-support of whatever the predominant "thing" is
based on
so much hyperbole and so little actual substantive support or logic as
to
WHY something is 'liked' or 'disliked' ...
"But I Digress." (it's a copywriter's curse - i am too lax to edit my
posts
like i do for paid-clients' scripts; ).
Thanks again,
Mike
Regards,
Mike
