There was a request to hear an example of me conducting.
At http://idisk.mac.com/jennconducts-Public

you'll be able to download the best example that I have.
It's me with the Eastman Wind Ensemble, Carnegie Hall,
March 2005, Memorial concert for Frederick Fennell
Wagner: Elsa's Procession to the Cathedral from
Lohengrin

5 min of rehearsal for 7 min of music. A great honor.

I know a little about what music directors do, and 5 min
of rehearsal for 7 min of music isn't even a tiny
fraction of what they do. It appears that the event
recorded here has about as much to do with being a
musical director ("conductor"), as trying to run the
Daytona 500 with a car rented from Hertz has to do with
auto racing.

I know Arny's just trolling,

Apparently a religious belief.

and his post is highly hypocritical

Another one such belief.

in light of his excuse for not posting any
of his recordings because it would just give RAO
something to crap on

Note that Stephen has already forgotten about the copyright issue. Well
that's easy to understand - copyrights are about intellectual property, and
Stephen seems to have no interest in protecting IP. No intellect, no concern
with IP.

, but let me suggest his metaphor is off.

You haven't libeled me enough yet, Stephen? ;-)

The Eastman Wind Ensemble would be a top NASCAR vehicle,

I dunno about that. A world-class orchestra is usually well over on-stage
100 musicians, but according to their pictures, the Eastman Wind Ensemble
are maybe a little less than 1/3 of that. So if an orchestra is like a 3,400
pound NASCAR racing automobile, then the Eastman Wind Ensemble is more like
a motorcycle.

Secondly, the Eastman Wind ensemble is a school orchestra or a teaching
orchestra. Their reason to exist involves students. They could probably
play pretty well with no conductor at all. So, they are not like "Richard
Petty Racing Inc.", they are more like "The Richard Petty Driving
Experience", only moved down to motorcycles, more specifically futuristic
AI motorcycles that pretty much drive themselves.

Besides, it's an example of conducting, not of music
direction.

Well that's part of the Jenn shtick. She claims that she is a conductor, but
most of the people who read those claims equate her with people who are
actually music directors. She is more like an actor with a walk-on part
than an ensemble player, let alone a creative director.
