I'd agree. He does seem terribly bitter, doesn't he? I'd think it would
be much more productive to relax and enjoy some great music on a great
sound system than waste energy railing against the high-end.
In the "real world" the high end is so unimportant as to not merit
getting worked up over. If some rich dudes want to fool themselves with
thick face-plates or veneer finishes, who cares?
Of course, some of the good gear has thick face-plates or veneer
finishes.
