FWIW, Scott I have a pair of Grado SR 225s that have been
modded with cryogenically-treated silver wire with cotton
insulation. And the difference over a stock pair of SR
225s is very, very noticeable. I'm not sure what part
the cryogenic treatment has in the sound difference, but
hopefully one day I'll be able to let you hear the
difference for yourself.
