That is exactly what you are advocating: giving up who we are (or
rather, were) for a little temporary safety. Whether acts like these
make us safer is highly debatable.



This is similar to security actions during previous wars, WWII and
the civil war.



You are presuming guilt here. Are you also willing to give up the
presumption of innocence, as readily as you are willing to give up
habeas corpus ad subjiciendum and the right to a trial?

To enemy combatants, not US citizens, YES!!!


You are sure
willing to give up a lot of things that are not available many other
places, and these are things that many people died to achieve. Franklin
was right: you deserve neither liberty nor safety. It's people that
think like you do that will be the downfall of this country.



The downfall of this country will be those
who set off dirty bombs, Sarin gas and nuclear weapons
in American cities.
