Shhhh! said to SlimeBorg:
Translation: "I Arnold B. Krueger an wholly and 100% insane. I am a
vindictive and confused little man worthy of no respect."
Nice try, but if you want to make him cry, you have to whack him more
forcefully. I usually get results by referring to his misogeny or his
phoney
JEE-zus piety. dave weil has Turdy totally cowed. Even Crazy Jamie the
Parrot helped work the Krooborg into a fine lather (even if he did go
way
over the top on most occasions).
The Krooborg's most sensitive hot button appears to be his sham claims
to be
an advocate for science. The version of "sicicccnennec" he worships
comes
straight out of the Bizarro universe.
**I heard a good line on a US sitcom the other day:
Duh... there are no good lines on sitcoms.
Surely you've something better to do than rot your brain
with such tripe.
**Really? You need to watch Scrubs, Arrested Development or The Simpsons.
Pretty decent television.
OMG you're watching Fox. How could you?
But there you have it....pretty decent .....television...which doesn't
make
it decent at all.
If there is one thing RAO time is better spent than...it's watching
sitcoms.
Father (speaking to teenage daughter):
"How's school honey? Are you doing better in science now?"
Daughter:
"Sure dad. I'm doing much better now. Since they brought in the
Creationist stuff, I only need to say that: "God did it" if I don't know
the answer."
Can I put quotation marks inside quotation marks? I was unsure about
that, but you get the idea.
Of course you believed that Hollyweird provides an accurate portrayal
of US schools. But then again...you've been here and are still
confused.
Maybe it isn't all Hollyweirds fault.
**I believed the line about as much as I believe almost anything George W
Bush has to say. It was still a funny line, with some basis in truth.
It was stupid and absurd with no basis in truth and only
an ignoramus would think so.
Or are you trying to tell me that no US schools accept the nonsense of
Creationist theory (a word I use with great caution, as it is hardly a
theory).
I'll tell you what happened in one of our local school districts
some 10 years ago.
One of our local school boards tried to add creation theory into the
cirriculum in addition to evolution already covered. The school board
battled for years and the community was in turmoil. In the end the board
was voted out and the issue died. Not because people didn't want
creationist theory taught in schools, but because the whole fight was
stupid. A High School kid gets about 1 hour of evolution in basic science
class. If he takes biology he might get another couple of hours and a
chapter
on anthropology.
The creationist theory teaching was going to be a 1/2 hour presentation
cuz it wasn't covered in the chosen text.
So what do you know about US public education beyond what you learn
in sitcoms?
