I came across some inexpensive vintage SanSui amplifiers (AU-9900)
that revive my recollection of our SanSui system in my teen. I wonder
if these gears still be able to keep up with current crop of high end
amps such as Marantz, McIntosh ... to drive currecnt crop good
speakers.
Anyone who actually own these SanSui amps and have a chance to compare
to others can give me some ideas how they sound.
I have a Sansui AU-6500 I handed down to my kid.
It's a very transparent and neutral SS amp IMO.
How it would compare to other amps I think will
depend mostly on the speakers you choose to drive
them with. Into a benign 8 ohm load, mine
performs very well and its only 35 watts.
