You are just hating or you don't know how to care of you stuff. I have a
minidisc (home deck) that I had since 1999. It survived a fire an water
damage and it is still ticking. Only the remote could not be revived. The
same for a Sony ES receiver I had. Those were the last Sony products I
bought until this head unit and the new Blu Ray player. I prefer Panasonic
in digital video, but they were late in coming out with theirs.
All things break if you don't know how to take care of them. Some people
don't change the oil in their cars. Some people don't clean their homes.
Some people don't wash their asses. If you are like that, then you should
expect things to break.- Hide quoted text -

If you buy a crappy product, it doesn't matter how well you take care
of it... it sucks. You might as well throw it away in the garbage.
If you have anything Sony in car audio, I would suggest you throw it
away or sell it some other fool (with the exception of their head
units). Sony's speakers are junk, subs are junk, amps are junk....
ultimate trash, you'll go broke buying their products and in the end
you feel like you have been jipped.
Actually, I installed and I am very happy with the sound and the looks. The quality is on point. The sound is very clear and robust. I thought the remote would be corny, but it is more comfortable than the JVC's. I am satisfied. Now the HD Radio tuner is another thing. I am not exactly hearing CD quality sound on the FM and FM quality sound on the AM. In fact, I could not find an HD AM station. I may return that. I do like the station ID, song/artist display...
