As far as a service for this, I haven't heard of one, sorry.
As for the legality of it, yes it is perfectly legal for you to own
copies of your own music.
A note that you might want to consider: Why put them all on DVDs or
CDs? Why not keep them on a PC hard drive? I started puting my music
(already all mp3 on my PC) onto discs, but then realized that I would
need a changer or something like that... I also started to wonder what
if I wanted to hear a specific song? What a pain in the ass it would
be to flip through CDs (changer or not) and find that song. So instead
I bought an mp3 player and a head unit that has an input jack. Now I
carry all my songs on my mp3 player and just jack it in to the HU when
I'm in the car...
Also, you might consider skipping the middle ware and building a PC for
your car...
