15's take too much power to drive. I'm looking for speakers I can rig up
for use with my computer. However, I want something that's going to be
economical (low-wattage, save some electricity).

If it's for your computer I would recommend you consider spending a couple
of (or a few) hundred on a home theater in a box setup. Especially if
you're going to watch DVDs or listen to anything other than plain stereo.

Your comment about saving electricity is interesting though. Around here
it's about eight cents per kilowatt hour. That means you can draw about ten
amps out of the wall for about 8 cents an hour. So if you ran say a three
hundred watt stereo system 24 hours a day it would cost you about (assuming
a 300 watt stereo would draw 500 watts from the wall) 500 * 24 / 1000 * .08
or $.96 a day (at full power). A more reasonable estimate would be 3 hours
a day averaging 100 watts draw which would be three tenths of a kilowatt
hour or maybe three cents per day. Your mileage (or wattage) may vary.

PD

I got cheaper electricity I have been running electric heaters on and off, but
my bill just went up $30 for the month.

Small speakers are not efficient for bass, and a switching power amp would
be used for maximum efficiency. If you have low power, then you would like speakers
with up over 94 dB sens. A large horn can reproduce well over 100 dB.
