With the information he's given us, it's more likely that the sub was 1.5
ohms rather than 1.5". Also, there are subs out there that have 2 ohm voice
coils
FYI: Resistance is a component of impedance. If you were to measure a
speaker with a ohmmeter, it will show you resistance.
