Yes, which he mentioned taking them out that far after the Bay Harbor1) Photographic evidence of Dexter and Luman dumping something in the
bay (Incidently he chose that area after the previous dumping ground
was discovered because the currents would take the bags out to sea)
He'd have to go out to the Gulf Stream to really get rid of them.
Several miles offshore.
Butcher was found out at his original dumping spot.
IMO Liddy didn't get any pictures of Dexter and Lumen actually dumping
the bodies. He got pictures of them carrying bags onto the boat. Then
he got pictures of them later coming ashore without the bags. He
mentions as much to Quinn.
That's what I was originally thinking but when I went back and looked at it,
they showed pictures on Liddy's camera at the exact time we were watching
Lumen dump the bag with the body parts in it. It was the exact scene.
Maybe they made a mistake in filming but it was poorly written or filmed if
they meant to say he only got before and after pictures.
Right. He clearly had pics of them dumping the bodies, taken from an
elevated angle. He wasn't in another boat. Maybe they dumped withing
sight of a bridge.
Liddy told Quinn he had pics when they went out and the bags were gone when
they returned so I think the filming was a mistake.. Maybe they did it
just to make it more dramatic that someone was catching Dexter in the act of
disposing of the bodies. It was a silly mistake to make the way fans watch
these shows like they're CSI themselves.
They're writing just like '40s serials.
I remember reruns of these on local TV in the '60s (Commando Cody, I
think) in which the hero obviously meets his doom at the end of one
episode (say a burning bldg collapses on him), only to survive unscathed
next week because the subsequent episode is filmed entirely differently
with him running out before the bldg collapses.
