Ah, I wasn't counting the digital channels. I was only listing the
local channels that are available OTA. There is a Japanese channel on
Comcast. I think it's a combination of shows from various Japanese
channels put together for the American Japanese market.

Is it real programming or is it just a bunch of slapstick gameshows like
Wipeout?

It seems that sports and news make up a lot of the programming with
various NHK news hour shows as well as one for kids. Then there are
various sumo wrestling shows. Lots of other shows that I can't comment
on like "Law and Laughter", "Gegeges Wife", "Questa", "Kansai Now."
Even an "English Lessons" show. It really does look like a channel
that's designed to give Japanese in this country a taste of home.
