Flanery playing a psychotic. So, let's see - Flanery has now played the
guy who starts the apocalypse, a guy who gets involved with a vampire
chick, and young Indiana Jones! He's done everything, I tell you!!
That was him? I noticed his name in the credits, and then as usual forgot
about it until now. He looks a fair bit different, though at least some
of the shows really do a lot in the way of face changing plastic and
makeup to make the actors look less like they really do.

In some ways, it was an odd episode for the show, since it was routine
killings, rather than sadistic killings. And it seems that generally, the
criminals on the show are reasonably sane (to the extent that killing
people might be considered sane), while here was someone who's mind wasn't
quite there.

I thought it was sloppy though. He's in a pharmacy, getting a
prescription, yet nobody thinks to ask the pharmacy right away what the
prescription was for, or the doctor's name on the prescription. Maybe it
is hindsight on my part, but as it unrolled it seemed obvious to check.

That's ONE of the things Hotch was going ballistic over... not asking about the prescription. He at least acknowledged it was a big lapse on their part. As it turned out he didn't have a prescription on order, however the pharmacist apparently did remember him and what he had been taking. That's why she wanted to calm him down. Right... ?
