Definitely! For one thing, then you know what channels to avoid
entirely--such as the old major three on weekends.
Yeah, on weekends, all I watch is "The Red Green Show" on PBS [Sadly, it
isn't on every week. :-( ], and WGN-America on Sundays [for Retro TV,
especially "Newhart", "The Honeymooners" and to a lesser extent "I Dream
of Jeannie"].
