What Did You Watch? August 20th (Thursday)

I watched:

Law and Order U.K. Some guy gets mugged for a kidney in exactly the
way it never happens. There have been Law and Order organlegging
cases, but I'm pretty sure Adam Schiff never took a leave of absence
to act as a defense attorney so obviously they got bored with minor
changes to the script.

Producing Parker. Since Didi hates dogs, Parker schedules a whole
episode about dogs, either because as a dog-lover Parker can't cope
with anyone hating them, or possibly just because Parker
subconsciously hates Didi. Didi ends up kicking Parker's dog right in
front of the dog psychic and an audience of dog-lovers. This episode
did establish that Massimo's ability to talk and walk upright are not
normal for a dog and Parker insists on him keeping it secret.

Sci-Trek. All about volcanoes. Apparently lava is hot. Who knew?

The Daily Show. I turned it off during the interview which was
incomprehensible nonsense about health care. Fortunately, whatever it
is, doesn't affect me.

The Listener. Starey is testifying at a trial after screwing up a
murder scene because he heard a thought from the victim and thought
that meant she was alive. Since she was cold that suggests his power
is capable of picking up ah...leftovers. The funny thing is that the
defense attorney who was attacking Starey was right. He did mess up
the crime scene and obscure what really happened. Meanwhile he
coincidentally gets called out to pick up a senile man who turns out
to be the guy who was trying to help his mother get away and hide the
two of them. He's played by Gordon Pinsent who has been in every
Canadian TV series since World War II. Americans may remember him as
Frazier's ghost father from Due South.

Ranked! Ladies Up Front. Holy crap that "My Humps" is one of the
dumbest most repellent songs ever written. I'm so glad it's out of
regular rotation.
