Better Off Ted, a hybrid between, say, The Office and Eureka!, won't have
more than a few episodes.  Ratings are terrible.

I was one of the few people who actually watched this last night.  It's a
really good try.  The cast is good, there is a lot of imagination, the
direction and pacing are good, and some of the gags are even fairly funny.

I thought it improved greatly on the premiere and had some good
laughs. Given another month, it could meld into a top quality show.

--- It's a poor man's Andy Richter Controls the Universe. Even
Jonathan Slavin plays a poor man's version of his earlier ARCTU
character. It's just basically pretty poor.

"Scrubs" had one of its funnier episodes in a few years, as well. I
really think the new interns could carry the show if it returns next
season.

--- Too bad nobody watched it. Now that's funny.

Compare this to the even worse rated "Chopping Block" on NBC last night.
With only about half the audience of "Ted", you can just hear Ben Silverman
screaming "get me something cheap!  I don't care if anyone watches it!  Now
get out of here and leave me alone!"

This is why, five years from now, we will once again have three broadcast
networks.

--- Ooohh, I just can't wait! Happy days will be here again!

So you think National Amusements won't find a buyer for CBS? :-)

--- They're going through a phase, they'll come to their senses soon
enough and realize what a rock-solid property they have with The Eye.
