But . . . but . . . but . . .
I sort of enjoyed 1973. If I was thrown back there (as an adult this
time) from a stressful job as a NYC detective, the first thing I'd do
is NOT continue to work in a stinky old 125th precinct house. I'd get
a nice hog and head for California, betting on sports and elections
and shorting stocks to pay my way, and look up Woz and Steve Jobs (for
a chat), then buy a sweet piece of Malibu real estate for the down
times, then head out on the concert trail following Led Zepp . . . and
so on.
Our Hero lacks imagination.
