Is it anything like 'The Groove Tube'?

Not at all. It's a comedy about a writer (David Duchovny) watching his
pilot slowly compromised by a leading actor, a director, a technical
director, a Britsh suit, and most of all by a programming head
(Sigourney Weaver) reminiscent of Faye Dunaway in NETWORK. There are
also some funny scenes involving audience testing.

While on STARZ also check out DRIVING LESSONS with Julie Walters and
Laura Linney.
