I use CC all the time, and I definitely notice the shooting script/
final version CC anomaly a lot. Often it's just that a spoken line is
a rough approximation of the script line.
But other times there are wholesale changes. What I've noticed a lot
recently is sort of the opposite of what the OP was talking about.
I've noticed that there will be lines in CC that aren't spoken on
screen *at all*!
I've seen obvious late changes in dialog (sometimes to "clean it up").
There have also been swaps in music, so you get the lyrics for a
different song than ends up playing. That's also one of the nice things
about CC, sometimes it will tell you the song title as it starts.
Long story short - I love CC, and will always leave it on (unless it's
obscuring something important like cast credits, etc.).
I leave it on a lot, as long as it's not a live or semi-live show. In
those cases, the CC lags and is full of weird errors, and becomes too
distracting
