Space Rangers on ION tonight (5/24)

Anyone remember Space Rangers on CBS back in 1993? Anyone? No?
The thing is, as I was flipping through the Hartford Courant during
lunch, I happened upon the TV schedule and saw something called Space
Rangers: Chronicles listed as airing on ION from 7:00PM to 11:00PM. I
think to myself: "Self, there is no way this can be the Space Rangers
show from 1993 that ran for all of four episodes leaving two unaired
in the United States." Just to be sure, I pop on the Internet, check
out Zap2it's TV listings and what do I found but the following:
"Peacekeepers work on the edges of the galaxy; with Jeff Kaake, Clint
Howard, Linda Hunt."
Jeff Kaake? Clint Howard? What? It looks like all six episodes of
Space Rangers will be shown in three installments (or "chronicles") of
eighty minutes this evening. ION's website (http://www.ionline.tv/
movies.php) has the following:
"By the year 2104, explorers have stretched civilization to the
farthest reaches of the galaxy. They’ve discovered new worlds and
learned to share them with new races. But even at the edge of nature’s
frontiers, two ancient forces still remain locked in mortal conflict:
good and evil."
Considering the only other thing on this evening that looked vaguely
interesting (and only for Mary-Louise Parker) was "Vinegar Hill" on
CBS, I think I have found what I am watching tonight. Banshees!
