Psych - again, a pleasure to watch these guys work
I wondered who watched this.
BAD
Bones - It's okay. It's not great, but I watch it.
I think Temperance Brennan is one of the most enjoyable characters on tv.
I
saw Emily Deschanel on Jimmy Kimmel last week, and she's a delightful,
rather loopy, person IRL. I think being a flake is actually a positive
attribute for an actress. Better than a megabitch, anyway, which seems
the
other alternative.
I just watched her on Craig Ferguson.
Actually, sorry, that was where I saw her too.
Agreed, she's at best simple
minded in real life, but pleasantly so. Good thing she's pretty.
Temperance is much more likeable. I know which one I'd rather meet.
I don't think I have seen more than a handful of actors who are as clever or
attractive or whatever as the characters they play. (One notable exception
is Jamie Bambers, Lee Odama on Battlestar Galactica, who is both smarter and
funnier than his character!) I have been shocked by just how stupid and
boring such "smart" actors as Anthony Hopkins, Natalie Portman, and George
Clooney are.
Oh, God, Portman. She's like Sharon Stone; every interview she talks
about how smart she is, and every interview manages to disprove it.
Anyway, I have learned to have low expectations of actors and actresses.
She would be in the top 10%. I would call her loopy or flaky and no genius,
but charming and at least normal in IQ.
More the pity. :)
...
Las Vegas - damn I wanted to like this show. Even with Selleck itpilot/concept that simply self-destructed. For me, probably about the
never
quite jelled, but NBC's chopping it down the way they did was a crime.
The real reason I responded to the post is to agree with this. A
great
time
Laura Allen dropped out.
The instant the star child appeared. Always a classic jump the shark
moment.
Nah, the kid was okay. It was when she grew up overnight
Well, yeah, okay. That's the moment I was thinking she became the Star
Child, but you're right, she had superpowers before then.
and Laura Allen
left that the show totally tanked. I'm not really sure jumping the shark
works here. It was a long slow decline.
Yeah, but there was a drop off when they force grew the kid and replaced
the baby with a worse actress.
