Oh, found out online that most of the shows I mentioned except
"Girlfriends" all already renewed. A few (According to Jim, Boston
Legal, etc.) are still on the bubble, but I'm assuming they will be
eventually picked up, so projecting ahead to next year:
Here's the top 3 longest-running scripted primetime shows on each
network that will be on the air for the 2008-2009 season:
CBS: 1. CSI (9 seasons)
2. (tie) CSI: Miami, Without a Trace (7 seasons)
NBC: 1. Law & Order (19 seasons)
2. ER (15 seasons)
3. Law & Order: SVU (10 seasons)
ABC: 1. According to Jim (8 seasons)
2. (tie) Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy, Lost, Boston
Legal (5 seasons)
FOX: 1. The Simpsons (20 seasons)
2. King of the Hill (13 seasons)
3. (tie) Family Guy, 24 (7 seasons)
CW: 1. Smallville (8 seasons)
2. One Tree Hill (6 seasons)
3. (tie) Everybody Hates Chris, Supernatural (4 seasons)
Next year will be ER's final season, but it's uncertain whether it's
the same
about any of the other shows.
