Could anyone comment on the following?
The news has reported that those of us who have cable TV service won't
need a digital converter because cable signals will continue to be
analog. Until 2012.
Can you point out this story, please? I'm honestly confused as to what
federal regulations there are for cablecasting methodology.
That sounded great to me until I saw the 2012 part. I strongly plan
to keep my TV sets and VCRs until that time. That means when cable
does all digital, my set up won't work anymore.
You have no cable boxes whatsoever? I find that hard to believe.
I have no cable boxes.
The rent on my apartment includes basic cable service, which in my area is about 70 analog channels. That's all I watch these days. I don't feel the need to watch any premium channels whatsoever.
Fact is, I now spend much more time per week surfing the Internet than I do watching TV. There are many days when I don't watch TV at all. YouTube is lots more fun.
