I have several in mind, but apparently Hollyweird doesn't want

I think Downey's borderline too old as it is. Who did you have in mind?

I've considered Willem Dafoe as he did a damned good job being
the right kind of executive when he pulled it off in Spiderman.

Peter Stormare if he didn't look frumpy.

David Morse would be runner-up if he was less typecast.

Arent they all OLDER than Downey?

Ken... Honey? Are you on some sort of medication that I
should suddenly be made aware of? Or has the vapors and fumes from
all the Peachy goodnessT assisted you in losing all senses?

I think my message about these choices pretty much indicated
that I'm aware of the target audience for Iron Man, and how my
perceptions of who Tony Stark should have been better portrayed are 10
- 15 years older... I am after around Downey's age (44 this year).

But you aint Hollywood or movie execs. They gonna want a summer Franchise, a
trilogy. Choosing a 44-year-old actor was risky enough, an actor in the mid
to upper 50s? Unlikely, bankroll-wise.

Ken... *blinking once* Are you reading anything that I'm
saying or are you just trying to be a pompous and self-absorbed
windbag listening to your own points, instead?

If you are having problems comprehending what is being
conveyed here, I'm going to give you the benefit of the doubt and
recap quickly for you.
If you are in fact having any problems with what I'm saying
here, please have an adult assist you with any of the complex concepts
that are being used in this recap, so that I don't have to waste any
further bandwidth.

I submitted my dislike of Downey, and said flat out I had
someone in mind that was older than Downey (and me), which at the time
I even knew and alluded to in my comments was not attractive to target
audience the Executives had in mind based on my viewing of the trailer
at IMDB.
Then you ask me MY OPINION on who I have in mind, and I threw
three names out there that I think have better acting capability than
Downey for the role of Stark, although Stormare has become frumpy
looking in recent years, and Morse has been entirely too typecast for
anything short of something military.
Then you tell me that they're too old, of which I admit flat
out that they are, and my belief that they would do a better job
portraying Stark in spite of what I had stated in a previous
submission that the execs are trying to attract a "younger" audience.

Now you have the obdurate and ever so sophomoric audacity to
invalidate MY OPINION which you had ASKED FOR, and reinforce the
obvious that I'm not a Hollywood Exec?

If you're trying to garner disrespect and ire from the likes
of me, your well on your way to succeeding. However, you're going to
find me infinitely more difficult to handle than Anim8r, particularly
if you continue to demonstrate this apparent lack of English reading
comprehension.

Do keep on.. I need a new scratching post, and apparently
you're shaping up rather nicely for the position.

Is the usenet version of the ***-talking they do on "professional"
wrasslin'?
