Might sound like a morbid TV question, but...

I've been thinking about this for a while, so I guess in the spirit of
the spooky, dreary Halloween, today's a good day to ask...

Are there any notable examples in TV history of actors filming *used/
recorded* material on either the day of their death, or very close to
it? Again, I'm not talking about examples in theatrical movies (such
as Vic Morrow), or even actors who may have became deathly ill during
rehearsals, like John Ritter and Redd Foxx.

What makes me think of this is the British comedy "Father Ted." It
always strikes me as a little sad and strange when I rewatch the final
episode, knowing that its star, Dermot Morgan, was dead the very next
day after filming the episode.

Any other similar examples? I seem to recall Jerry Orbach was still
filming right up to his final days. I also remember that "Ally
McBeal" wrote in Phil Leeds' real death by having his judge character
die in the middle of a court session, but I can't recall how much of
that episode Leeds actually shot that week.
