I was watching Ghost Whisperer via my Tivo tonight. It got to about 45
minutes into the program. Melissa had summoned "Bloody Mary" via the
mirrors in the historical house and a bloody hand reached out from the
mirror. It went to commercial and got frozen on a frame of a Washington
Mutual commercial until nearly the end of the show. When it unfroze,
someone's parents were crying and speaking to their daughter via
Melissa. Their daughter then went into the light and a happy ending
ensued.
CBS doesn't show Ghost Whisperer on-line and Comcast On-Demand doesn't
carry it, either. What happened between the time the bloody hand
reached out from the mirror and the end of the show?

Melinda figured out that the ghost wasn't Bloody Mary (as she
suspected all along) but rather the first girl who attempted to summon
her. She had a bad heart but the other girls didn't know that. The
blonde girl of the group slipped into the bathroom behind her with
fake blood on her hands and scared her quite literally to death. The
girl's ghost assumed the Bloody Mary persona (she actually thought she
WAS BM, ghosts sometimes getting confused as to the facts). The clue
was that the real Bloody Mary tore all of her nails off on the lid of
her coffin (as told to Melinda by the hostile ghost guy who haunts the
public works building), which is where her nickname came from. The
ghostly hand that Melinda saw emerge from the mirror had all of it's
nails. Melinda convinced her of who she really was, that her death was
a prank and that nobody meant her any harm. They visited her parents,
who were at odds about her having ever left home to live in the dorm
due to her condition. She assured them that setting her free was the
nicest thing they could have done for her and convinced her father
that her being alive but unhappy was not how she wanted to live and
that they couldn't keep her prisoner forever. She was "trapped" in her
life the way Mary had been trapped in her coffin. She forgave the girl
who scared her to death and then "went into the light", at which point
the other 2 girls awoke from their respective comas and recovered
fully.
FF a few days to the final scene: Melinda closes the shop to go out
to dinner with her husband. As she closes the door the bell over the
door rings, first the way it normally would, then as though it were
being shaken by an unseen hand, and the shade of the real Bloody Mary
appears reflected in the doorglass...
