Attorney Gloria Allred has inked a deal with Hearst Entertainment
Prods. to star in a reality series titled "No Guts No Gloria."
Hearst (History Channel's "Modern Marvels") said the project, which is
being shopped to broadcast and cable networks, teams Allred with
people who are "angry and out for justice." Allred, using a
"take-no-prisoners attitude and unconventional tactics," will help
them formulate a plan and then work to find a fair resolution for both
parties.
The show will be produced by Jerry Shevick, executive vp reality and
documentary programming at Hearst; Bari Carrelli, vp documentary and
reality programming; and Sammi Mendenhallcq no title per kimberly.
"Gloria has been in the middle of some of the past decades' biggest
stories, and I believe that she will help us create situations for our
series' participants every bit as dramatic and newsworthy as she's
done for hundreds of her own clients," Shevick said.
Allred, who has been practicing law for more than 31 years, is an
attorney and partner in the Los Angeles-based law firm Allred, Maroko
& Goldberg. Her clients have included Amber Frey, a witness in the
Scott Peterson murder trial, and actress Hunter Tylo, who sued Aaron
Spelling for wrongful dismissal and pregnancy discrimination.
Said Allred: "We believe that we've found a creative and unique
concept that will be both entertaining and empowering. I love a new
challenge, and I think our participants will too."
Allred was featured on Twentieth Television's syndicated court show
"Power of Attorney" and hosted a talk show on KABC TalkRadio for 14
years. She also wrote the book "Fight Back and Win: My Thirty-Year
Fight Against Injustice -- And How You Can Win Your Own Battles"
