Billy Burke has landed the lead on NBC's one-hour pilot "The Watch,"
while "Veronica Mars" alumna Julie Gonzalo has joined ABC's upcoming
drama series "Eli Stone" as a regular.
Additionally, Amanda Righetti has been added to Fox's new drama series
"K-Ville" as a recurring.
"Watch," from Sony Pictures TV and Pariah, revolves around a suburban
Neighborhood Watch group gone awry. The show centers on Lonnie
(Burke), the new chief detective.
Charles McDougall is directing the pilot from a script by Ed Decter
and John J. Strauss.
Burke, whose credits include the features "Ladder 49" and "Fracture"
and the Fox series "24," next appears in the films "Feast of Love" and
"Untraceable."
"Eli," from ABC Studios, centers on thirtysomething attorney Eli Stone
(Jonny Lee Miller), who begins to have larger-than-life visions.
Gonzalo will play a new character, a junior associate at Stone's law
firm.
Gonzalo, who played Parker Lee on "Veronica," next appears in
Lionsgate Films' "Ladron Que Roba a Ladron."
The actress, whose credits also include the features "Must Love Dogs,"
"Christmas With the Kranks" and "Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story," is
repped by WMA and Kritzer Levine Wilkins.
On the 20th Century Fox TV-produced "K-Ville," a cop drama set in
post-Hurricane Katrina New Orleans, Righetti will play a beautiful,
earthy Bohemian woman who lives in a FEMA trailer park.
Righetti, who next stars in "Return to House on Haunted Hill," a video
sequel to "House on Haunted Hill," is repped by Endeavor and manager
Dave Fleming of Mosaic.
