Irish Republican Army, except that that disbanded long, long ago. They mean the PIRA, Provisional IRA, known as the "provos".

Why does American entertainment trivialise Irish terrorism so glibly? Don't you have a war on terror, or something? Did you not get the "terrorism is bad" memo?
