Isaac seemed to think that the last issue of _9th Wonders_ that he sent
to press contained the key to solving the heroes' problems.

Personally, I found myself thinking that it was likely something in
his sketchbook "that might be worth something someday" that would
likely have the key to changing the future.

That fact is made more apparently by the fact that Isaac appeared to give the sketchbook away as an afterthought - and gave it specifically to the messenger. ... The simpler explanation is that the instructions are in the comic book that he sent to the publisher via the messenger. ...
