They had a bit about that in the local paper.

On the other hand, wasn't she "leaving" a few years back, and it turned
out to be contract negotiation?

She didn't show up the first day of filming a season, and the producers
"fired" her and started re-writing scripts. Needless to say, she was on
set the next day :) I did think the show would kill her off a couple
seasons ago, due to some dialog and promos saying someone would get
blown up (turned out to be the lab guy).
