There's a guy who runs a restaurant in North Versailles, VA. and he

wow

I'm surprised they don't get him on some kind of profanity ordinance.

It's actually in PA, not VA, in the Pittsburgh metro area. I think I'm
gonna check it out. It does piss me off having to press one to continue
in English when I want my bank balance.

Our local city council tried to close down the PINK TACO restaurant
'cause somebody told them the name was obscene; I can't imagine the
hissy fit they'd have over these.

I do like the one "open minded person needed to change the sign after
I'm dead" :-)

Kind of ironic that the guy has several signs dissing immigrants, given
that his restaurant has a NON-ENGLISH name.

And that he keeps complaining about "push 1 for English" when his
English skills are pretty poor.

It's Pittsburgh. Lots of people's English skills are awful.

But I look beyond that and take his point. It pisses me off that I
should have to be the one to "push one for English." It's something you
have to do when you call one of the largest banks in town. And it's not
the only place in the US where you have to do it.

My grandfather came from Europe in 190-something, and he learned
English. He wouldn't even allow German to be spoken around him. Why
should it be any different now? You live in America, you speak American.
