I'm not familiar with these programs but it sounds like the "avi to

you'll just get one file to burn.

I just converted one file to MPEG2. It gives me two files (650MB and 243MB). It is as simple now as just burning those two files to a DVD-R? (And which type...plus, minus, one, two?)

And how would the menu work when played on a dvd player?

thanks!

I assume it was one AVI file you converted. It sounds like it broke it into CD size pieces, 650MB = 1 CD. What you want is a single mpeg file as output. Are you sure you didn't choose VCD or SVCD as output instead of DVD? I addressed menus in another post.

Yes, saw the other post. Excellent info. My burner is +R or +RW according to the manual, so I have that much figured out. And you're right about the 2 pieces. The advanced button limited the conversion to 650 MB. As one piece, would simply burning that MPEG to a dvd finish the process? I'll take your advice on the DVD-RWs. Don't mind spending a little to figure the process out. Just for this one DL, I'd save a total of 96 regular CDs...not to mention the space for storage on the shelf (and getting up to change the CDs as one poster mentioned).

I have access to a copy of Nero 7. Perhaps I'll give that a run too and see if I can get it all done in one go.

Thanks!
