ISLAND HEAT: STRANDED (Lifetime, New!) - Erica Durance (Lois Lane on
"Smallville") and Carlos Ponce (Carlos Rivera on "7th Heaven") are set
to topline a new original movie for the cable channel, the first of a
similarly-themed trilogy set in the Caribbean....
The "Stranded" installment revolves
around a bride (Durance) whose bachelorette party on the fictional
island of San Carlos goes terribly wrong. Ponce then will play police
inspector Raddimus, a character that will recur in all three
telefilms.

Lifetime 'woman in jeop' film! I must watch!!

Does Ponce have the chops to be the lead/recurring character?

MR. NICE GUY (ABC) - The Alphabet has opted not to move forward with
the comedy project, which was set to shoot its pilot later this month.
The Touchstone Television-based half-hour, about a well-meaning man
(Diedrich Bader) who always ends up looking bad even when trying to do
the right thing, will instead be redeveloped for midseason 2007 or the
2007-08 season. No reason for the decision, which was made shortly
after a table read had taken place, was given. Andy Cadiff was
attached to direct the project from a script by creator Jeff Astrof
with Brillstein-Grey Television's Peter Traugott also serving as an
executive producer. Cara DeLizia, Kevin Weisman and Rena Sofer were
also cast.

But, 10-to-1 says this means a new cast. Darn.

Yes, I smell network interference in the casting. Are they all turning into
CBSs? I never realized how involved the nets were in casting until I heard
the Wildfire producers commenting on it w/r to their show.

SHE SAID, HE SAID (The CW) - Lacey Chabert (ABC Family's "Hello
Sister, Goodbye Life") is set to play sister to Lindsay Sloane in the
comedy pilot, about how men and women perceive relationships
differently. Nick Lachey and Chris J. Johnson also star in the CBS
Paramount Network Television/Warner Bros.

Regardless about how you feel about Lachey, any show with Sloane and
Chabert will get a look from me.

Ditto here. I especially like Sloane and Chalbert was a very good comedic
actress in Mean Girls.

YOU'VE REACHED THE ELLIOTTS (CBS) - Danielle Savre (Callie on
"Summerland") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about a man
(Chris Elliott) who navigates being a celebrity and a parent.

OK. I'll check it out...

Chris Elliott always plays the same character. I like Savre but Elliott
makes me say no.

10.5: APOCALYPSE (NBC) - The Pea*** has booked the "10.5" sequel for
Sunday, May 21 at 9:00/8:00c with part two airing Tuesday, May 23 at
9:00/8:00c.

Oh, GAWD, no!!

Do they get good enough ratings for this stuff that they keep bringing it
back all the time. Oh well it makes for good laughs if you don't have
anything better to do.

DRIVE (FOX) - Filming on the drama pilot, about an underground road
race across America, reportedly won't begin until June, likely bumping
its series consideration until midseason 2007 at the earliest. Ben
Queen and Tim Minear are behind the 20th Century Fox Television-based
hour, which stars Alan Ruck, Emily Stone and Melanie Lynskey. Greg
Yaitanes is directing.

10-to-1 this never sees air now.

The casting is weak anyway imo. Lynskey is a good one but otherwise....

FLIRT (The CW) - Tamala Jones (Tonya on "One on One") and Bree Turner
(Marjorie on "Good Girls Don't...") have both joined the cast of the
pilot, a workplace comedy about the sole man (Wayne Brady) working at
a women's magazine.

Who can't someone get Bree Turner a project worthy of her talents?! OY!!

She's in the new Lohan movie about to come out along with Samaire Armstrong.

UNTITLED SHANA GOLDBERG-MEEHAN PROJECT (ABC) - Andrew W. Walker (Scott
on "Hot Properties") is the latest addition to the comedy pilot, about
two sisters (Marisa Coughlan, Kaley Cuoco) who live together, despite
having grown up under different circumstances.

ABC comedies?... Eh.

I thought this could be a good one.

WELCOME TO THE JUNGLE GYM (CBS) - Nadia Dajani (Reilly on "Emily's
Reasons Why Not") has joined the cast of the comedy pilot, about three
best friends with young kids - all with very different attitudes
toward marriage, motherhood and their careers. She'll join Teri Polo
and Jennifer Aspen as one of said moms in the Warner Bros.

2 out of 3 ain't bad - I'd sample this one for Polo and Dajani, if it
goes.

I'm just not interested in the premise and I've turned into an anti-Polo
person.

C.S.I.: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION (CBS) - Liz Vassey, who plays lab
technician Wendy Simms on the veteran crime drama, has inked a deal to
return next season for at least 10 episodes. No other details about
the pact were given.

OK. Now can we please bump her up to replace Sidel?! Pleeaaasssseeee??!!

Ain't gonna happen imo, although I don't mind Sidel. Grissom, Brass, Stokes,
and Curtis (Lombard's character) are the only ones I care about anyway. I
despise Catherine. Sanders is OK as well.

OCTOBER ROAD (ABC)/UNTITLED TOM HERTZ PROJECT (CBS) - Elizabeth Bogush
(Max Dowling on "The Mountain") has booked guest starring roles on
both projects. No details however were given about either of her
characters, which are understood to be potentially recurring should
they move forward to series.

Heck - what are the two projects?!

SHARK (CBS) - Lindsay Frost (a recent guest star on "The Unit") has
been cast as the ex-wife of James Woods's character in the drama
pilot, about a celebrity defense attorney-turned-prosecutor. She'll
join the previously cast Alexis Cruz, Danielle Panabaker, Jeri Ryan,
Romy Rosemont, Samuel Page, Sarah Carter and Sophina Brown in the 20th
Century Fox Television-based hour, which comes from creator Ian
Biederman and director Spike Lee.

I'm really liking the cast on this one.

I lurve the cast but I think I've finally reached the law and order breaking
point.

HALLMARK ORIGINAL MOVIES (Hallmark, New!) - The cable channel plans to
air 12 more original movies by the year's end...
"Merlin's Apprentice" (starring Sam Neill and Miranda
Richardson, airs Saturday, September 2), a sequel to the NBC
mini-series;

This one co-stars Meghan Ory. So of course I'll have to watch.

Between the Lifetime and Hallmark movies, you'll get pretty soapy.
Fortunately or not, I don't get the Hallmark channel.
