How did Howard Hesseman (aka "Dr. Johnny Fever" on WKRP) get so...old??
Frankly, if it were not for the opening credits, no way would have I
recognized him. In fact, he reminded me more of (the late) Will Geer if
anything.
Also, how does a 66-year old man have an early 20-something daughter? I
David Letterman is in his 60's and has a 2-year-old son.
Well, he will be in couple of years anyway. He's 58 right now.
Tony Randall
had a kid when he was in his 70's.
78. Pushing 80 there rapidly.
But I agree, these are unusual.
Jimmy Doohan was 80 when his youngest was born.
understand that many men today start families very late but I think the
writers should have gone for a bit older woman to play the daughter
role (at least closer to age 30).
I'll take any excuse for them to cast Kerri Lynn Pratt -- I think she's
really cute. She has one of the best pouts in the industry, which she
got to show off frequently last year in "Jack and Bobby". And as a
bridge player, I'd partner with her any time -- I don't care how poorly
she plays. :)
