Sometimes I think that's EXACTLY what they're doing, they've made so many odd decisions that make the Guide actually *less* informative and convenient for its readers.

The TV book I get free in my Sunday paper is now more complete and useful than the TV Guide I'd have to pay money for.

Don't you pay for your Sunday paper?

Hmmm, true, the paper isn't free, but for my money I get the whole paper plus the TV Book. I guess I don't think of it as paying for the TV Book, it just seems an extra with all the glossy ads and color comics. But it's still a better bargain than buying a TV Guide that's considerably less helpful than the book I already get without making any extra to acquire it.

In most major cities, the Sunday newspaper isn't much of a bargain either. It's filled with sections and advertisements that you don't really need. Ask yourself what percentage of the pages in the Sunday newspaper you actually read.

Years ago, I used to subscribe to many print publications, including the local newspaper, TV Guide, two or three news magazines, and a couple of computer magazines and electronics magazines. I've now cancelled my subscriptions to all of them because the Internet has made them all obsolete. And I've never missed them since.
